Life Patterns, Inc. was one of the first payroll agents in Kansas. Now, the state is changing to Financial Management Services (FMS). Who else but Life Patterns would you turn to as your Financial Management Service for individuals who Self-Direct on the Home & Community Based Services Medicaid Waivers in our state.
So, what does all of this change mean to individuals receiving self-directed services on the Medicaid Waivers in Kansas? Hopefully the change will be smooth as far as paperwork and making sure that direct service workers are paid in a timely manner.
There will be no changes to any rules that impact who can currently be paid to provide care for an individual who is self-directing his or her services.
WILL THE PLAN OF CARE CHANGE: The services on your Plan of Care will not change but you will need a new POC designating Life Patterns, Inc. as your FMS. Contact your case manager as soon as possible to get this process started.
